Pure Awareness is an amazingly transformational process based on the principles of psychology, the most up to date research in neuroscience and quantum physics and on
the breath as the most powerful tool humans
Breathwork is a fully recognised prescription therapy in both Australia and New Zealand. Pure Awareness Breathwork Training, hosted for the first time in Greece by Paul Jones, complies with the professional training standards of the New Zealand Association of Breathworkers (NZAB). NZAB has been active in New Zealand since 1989, under the aegis of Natural Health Practitioners NZ, the official organisation responsible for the supervision of natural healthcare therapies throughout the country. In addition, Pure Awareness Breathwork Training meets the basic training criteria of the International Breathwork Foundation (IBF), of which Paul is a professional member, as well.
Participants will receive training in a technique new in Greece, but already widely established abroad, with numerous applications and great potential. A rather telling indicator of the high status that Breathwork enjoys – as an established therapeutic approach, worldwide – is the launching of under Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC). The project, run in Greece by Paul, aims at using Conscious Connected Breathing in work with refugees.
Pure Awareness Breathwork Training is a high standard training. This is why, after completing the seminar, participants will need to attend free monthly supervision by Paul, until the automn of 2020. Supervision is an indispensable concept in the field of counseling/psychotherapy and refers to the necessary, regular processing/counseling of practitioners working in the field. Once a month, participants will meet up to discuss the various issues and challenges that may arise as they actually apply the learned techniques on their clients or on themselves. The purpose of these meetings lies in the exchange of experience, the proposal of alternative approaches and the offer of useful clarifications, all under Paul’s guidance.
Finally, an equally strong part of Pure Awareness Training Program is the way, and not least, the space where the 2nd stage of the practice – Hot Water Breathwork – will happen. Hot Water Breathwork constitutes one of the technique’s trademarks, and at the same time, a uniquely intriguing experience. In similar trainings all around the globe, this particular stage is usually carried out in heated pools. However, people joining this seminar, instead of any other Breathwork training, will have the unique chance of experiencing Hot Water Breathwork in a float tank. More specifically, in the first ever float tank in Greece. To get more information on this amazing offer, please visit Cosmic Float.
However, the most priceless component of this training is that it provides its participants with the option for ongoing, hands-on practice, even after completion of the program. Paul is holding group meetings in and out of Athens, at least once a month. These meetings are open to the public, and in them, training participants are given the chance to apply their theoretical and practical knowledge in real life conditions, thus acquiring the necessary integrity, confidence and experience they need as Breathworkers.
Nevertheless, the most important reason why one should choose this seminar is because, by attending it, they are bound to have the revelatory experience of becoming familiar with the most empowering tool of personal development that ever has been: Breath.
Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor. ~Thích Nhất Hạnh
The Dry Breathwork stage will have participants work on the spiritual elements of Earth and Air. In this first stage participants will familiarise themselves with:
the tools and concepts from the field of psychology, physiology and neuroscience that will construct the theoretical framework of the Pure Awareness Breathwork Training
as a tool to access unconscious thoughts and emotions and as a trauma release mechanism
as a way to reach an altered state of consciousness, to increase their energy levels, to breath energy as well as air.
counselling techniques, games and exercises to help them work with themselves and their clients
200 hours of hands-on experience in breathwork and coaching.
The Hot Water Breathwork stage will have participants working on the spiritual element of Water. In this advanced variation, the participants will experience a unique hot water session. Unlike any other breathwork training where all participants experience Hot Water Breathwork in a warm pool together, in this training participants will have the privilege of getting a private session in a float tank. The float tank is uniquely constructed with the aim to provide a womb-like environment, in terms of temperature, gravity, noise level and sensory feeling. Hence it can activate deeply suppressed emotions, allowing participants the possibility to access conception, gestation or birth memories.
The Cold Water Breathwork stage will have participants working with the spiritual element of water and fire. Cold water brings up fear and thus it is directly related with what Freud calls the death driver. Cold Water Breathwork is not a sudden plunge. It is deliberately slow in order to become aware of the subtle changes in our physical and energy body due to possible birth trauma or family deaths.
Supervision refers to mandatory on going mental health support for people who work with other people. As part of your Pure Awareness Breathwork Training you will be required to attend all monthly meetings will be held by Paul, as it is required by the standards of practice of New Zealand Association of Breathworkers. Attendance through skype is also possible. Supervisions are a mandatory part of this training because it is important to familiarise participants with the necessity of being monitored by a peer therapist on a regular basis, especially those who work professionally on this field. Plus, the stage of supervisions will provide training participants with the safe space to share any challenges they might be facing when applying the concepts and techniques of breathwork with their pair or their clients. All supervision meetings will last 4hours and will be followed by supported group breathings.
Attendance of all Supervision meetings will accredit you with the certificate of Pure Awareness Breathwork Training. By then you will have completed 200 hours (a bit more in fact) of theory and practice of the technique, and will have been trained according to the standards of NZAB.
There is absolutely no doubt that a training of such high standards – just as the Pure Awareness training truly is – will fully meet the needs for specialised education of people who have already been working in the field of personal development, and wish to supplement their professional toolkit with a practice that is largely accredited and established abroad. Hence, psychotherapists, life-coaches and holistic therapists are expected to greatly benefit from mastering this particular technique.
It is also clear, however, that the Pure Awareness Breathwork Training is widely open to people who have already made the following crucial realisation: that they can dramatically improve their quality of life by choosing to adopt a different approach in it – even if that shift will change fundamentally the way they perceive themselves and the world.
Therefore, Pure Awareness Breathwork Training is open to you in particular…if you feel that you keep making the same self-sabotaging life choices:
